Goya Awards 35th edition – Winners

Yesterday, Saturday, March 6th, the 35th edition of the Goya Awards was celebrated in Malaga, often called the Spanish “Oscars”.

 

Organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain, these awards have the purpose of rewarding the best professionals in each of the different specialties of the sector, both technical and creative.

 

The award for best film went to ‘The Girls’, which won a total of 4 Goyas tied with the movie ‘Adú’, being ‘Coven’ the winner of the night with 5 awards.

 

The Goya Award for Best Original Score was for Aránzazu Calleja and Maite Arroitajauregi for their work on ‘Akelarre / Coven’. Below are the nominees/winners in the music categories:

Best original music/score

  • Aránzazu Calleja & Maite Arroitajauregi – Akelarre (Coven)
  • Roque Baños – Adú
  • Bingen Mendizábal y Koldo Uriarte – Baby
  • Federico Jusid – El verano que vivimos

 

Best original song

  • María Rozalén – Que no, que no (Movie: La boda de Rosa)
  • Cherif Badua y Roque Baños – Sababoo (Movie: Adú)
  • Alejandro Sanz y Alfonso Pérez Arias – El verano que vivimos (Movie: El verano que vivimos)
  • Carlos Naya – Lunas de papel (Movie: Las niñas)
