John Williams will be a special guest of the baseball game of the Baltimore Orioles against the Boston Red Sox in Baltimore (Maryland, USA) today Monday, June 11th at 7 p.m. (ET), throwing out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game.
Previously, and beginning at 6:30 p.m., BSO – Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s brass and percussion sections conducted by Music Director Marin Alsop will perform a selection of maestro John Williams’ famous scores, accompanying later the Stevensville Middle School choir for the national anthem. Throughout the game, the Orioles will incorporate Williams’ music to recognize the contributions of one of America’s greatest living composers.
This Wednesday, June 13th, John Williams will be conducting the BSO in a concert called ‘An Evening with John Williams’ at Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Read more about that concert:
