World Soundtrack Awards 2019 – Marco Beltrami
World Soundtrack Awards film music festival, that celebrates its 19th edition on Thursday 17th & Friday 18th of October, 2019 in Ghent (Belgium), has just announced today the central guest for this year: Marco Beltrami.
In his honor, World Soundtrack Awards will host a concert dedicated to Marco Beltrami’s film work on Friday 18th of October – 20:00h at Capitole Gent (Ghent) where the Brussels Philharmonic conducted by Dirk Brossé will perform his original scores accompanied by film clips on the big screen.
The concert will also feature the music and the presence of composer and singer Tamar-Kali, who won the ‘Discovery of the Year’ award last year at the WSA for her music for the film ‘Mudbound’.

According to Marco Beltrami’s statement: “It is truly humbling to be recognized by Film Fest Gent and its World Soundtrack Awards for my body of work. I am so thrilled to follow such iconic composers who have been honored in Ghent in previous years, including Carter Burwell, Alan Silvestri, Angelo Badalamenti, Craig Armstrong and many more”.
As it is usual in every edition, a Film Compilation Album with a selection of Beltrami’s film scores will be presented during the festival.
