The Spanish publisher Ediciones Rosetta SL has recently released the book ‘John Scott, Viaje al mundo perdido de un sinfonista’ (John Scott, Journey to the Lost World of a Symphonist), dedicated to the life and work of the British composer John Scott, by the writer and film music expert Christian Aguilera, with prologue by John Mansell.
Born as Patrick John O’Hara Scott in Bristol (United Kingdom) in 1930, John Scott is the architect of more than 60 scores for feature films, of numerous pieces written for documentaries (particularly for the universe of Jacques-Ives Cousteau), for (mini) TV series, TV-movies, and short films. Scott has also created concert works, a ballet, and has composed music for silent films.
