On Saturday, June 3, and during the Game Access Conference 2023 celebrated in Brno, Czech Republic, a very special concert was held, dedicated to the music of the legendary video game saga Command & Conquer (1995).
Entitled ‘Frank Klepacki & The Tiberian Sons – Command & Conquer Live’, this concert had the creator of the original soundtrack, Frank Klepacki and the band Tiberian Sons, marking their first ever performance in Europe. The concert was accompanied by a dynamic video projection of key moments and cut scenes from each game (read more).
Our good friend and newest collaborator Karol Taubinger, a big fan of the saga and its soundtrack, attended this very special show, and leaves us with a short but very personal & intense article about the event, together with some pictures.
Beware, lots of references to the game and to the original soundtrack below (which you will enjoy most if you’re a fan of C&C). 😉🕹🎶

Hell March – Frank Klepacki and the Tiberian Sons live
It was the year 1995, I was 17 years old. The real-time strategy video game Command & Conquer by Westwood Studios hit the market with a blast and became an instant hit and a classic. The next megahit Command and Conquer Red Alert followed soon after. The rest is Command & Conquer history.
“In the name of Kane!”
Boxed with the Command and Conquer and Command & Conquer Red Alert video games were the official soundtracks on CD with music by Frank Klepacki (only Collector’s Edition versions). When I played the music for the first time I was blown away by the mostly metal style of the music.
“The Tiberian Sons have risen!”
Fast forward 28 years, and I was blown away again by the already legendary music. But this time it was different – Frank Klepacki and The Tiberian Sons Live playing The Music of Command & Conquer at the Game Access Convention on June 3rd 2023 in Brno, Czech Republic.
“No! No! No! No Mercy! Mercy is for the weak!”
The show was a blast! Probably 150+ C&C fans including myself attended the show wearing Command & Conquer, GDI, The Brotherhood of NOD and Westwood Studios t-shirts.
“For the Brotherhood of NOD!”
Songs such as “Act On Instinct”, “Mechanical Man”, “Prepare For Battle”, “Got A Present For Ya”, “Just do it up” “Command & Conquer”, “Hell March” and “Hell March 2 & 3 Medley” among many others got the audience’s adrenaline pumped and hyped for over 90 minutes.
You could hear people shouting, “Peace through Power!”, “Peace through Power!”, “Peace through Power!”, with all the fans worshipping The Tiberian Sons and just having an awesome time.
After the grand, colossal, and epic concert the show continued at the meet & greet merchandise table next to the stage were you could buy Tiberian Sons CDs, t-shirts, posters, badges, and get all your stuff autographed by all five Tiberian Sons: Frank Klepacki, Toni Dickinson, Max Noel, Conrad Engstrom, and Travis Moberg.
