Video game music composer Gareth Coker (Ori and the Blind Forest, Minecraft and ARK Survival Evolved among others) will be the center of a masterclass organized by British Academy BAFTA next Monday 16th of April in London, named ‘Games Masterclass: The Art of Storytelling through Music’ and hosted by audio director Adele Cutting.

 

There, Gareth Coker will talk about composing music for video games and in his words “I’ll also be focusing one of the things I feel most strongly about, especially in single player games: the synergy between the player experience, visuals, and audio and the effect that synergy has on the player to keep playing, when executed well”.
