Film and television composer Arthur B. Rubinstein died of cancer on Monday, April 23rd at 80 years old.
He won an Emmy Award for his score for the TV series ‘Scarecrow and Mrs. King’ (1983-1987) and was popularly known for his soundtrack for the movie ‘War Games’ (1983).
His soundtrack for ‘The Blue Thunder’ (1983) was a pioneer in the 80s by having electronic and orchestral mixing. A regular collaborator of director John Badham, he scored many of his films in the 80s and 90s such as Whose Life Is It Anyway? (1981), Blue Thunder (1983), War Games (1983), Stakeout (1987), The Hard Way (1991), Another Stakeout (1993), and Nick of Time (1995).
