📣 Heroes Piano Collections – CONCERT! 📣

✅ When? 11th of August

🌍 Where? Warsaw, Nowa Miodowa Concert Hall

🎹 Together with Paul Anthony Romero, we want to invite you to a one-of-a-kind piano concert Heroes Piano Collections. This time you will have an opportunity to see and hear this legendary composer play some legendary music – soundtrack from Heroes of Might and Magic III.

🤔 Why a piano concert?

💬 “Music for Heroes of Might and Magic III in the first stage of production was created as the piano themes. Since I am a pianist, all the pieces were originally composed for this instrument and then further produced by Rob King using samples.” says Paul Anthony Romero.

🎼 The Heroes Piano Collections concert was intentionally planned as a recital in a very intimate space of Nowa Miodowa Concert Hall in Warsaw. Due to the extraordinary acoustic qualities of the venue, the performance will not be amplified in any way. For this reason, the event will be limited to a small group of participants.

Additional information:

Paul Anthony Romero and the Game Music Foundation invite you to a unique concert of music from the game Heroes of Might and Magic III, which will be held on August 11, 2023 in Warsaw, Poland.

Heroes Piano Collections is a sentimental return to the music made famous by the hugely popular strategy game. Beautiful melodies from Heroes of Might and Magic III will resound in the form of an intimate piano recital. During the performance, Paul Anthony Romero will present original musical themes he created more than two decades ago, in the version in which they were originally created.

“The music for Heroes of Might and Magic III in the first stage of production was created on the piano. Since I am a pianist, all the themes were originally composed just on that instrument, and only later subjected to further production by Rob King along with the use of samples.” – Paul Anthony Romero says.

“Heroes Piano Collections is therefore for me a return to the origins, an artistic return to the source, a journey to the birth of these themes. I’ve been planning this project for years, and I’m happy that we were finally able to realize it together with the Game Music Foundation.” – adds the composer.

The Heroes Piano Collections concert was deliberately planned as a recital in the very intimate space of the modern Nowa Miodowa studio – the Concert Hall of the ZPSM No. 1 in Warsaw. Due to the extraordinary acoustic qualities of the venue, the performance will not be amplified in any way – all in order for the participants to savor the musical feast in its purest form. For this reason, too, the event will be limited to a small group of participants.

Paul Romero will perform his performance on a Fazioli F278 concert grand piano. Fazioli rejects any industrial approach to production and strives for uncompromising quality. The company’s founder, Paolo Fazioli – an Italian engineer, pianist, and designer – wanted to transfer the culture of the great Italian violin makers to piano construction. The brand’s pianos are featured at the world’s most prestigious piano competitions. Performing a concert on this unique instrument was a special wish of the Artist.

The graphics promoting the event were drawn by Magdalena Katanska, an artist well-known among fans of the Heroes of Might and Magic game series and beyond.

“I’m a big fan of these games myself, and I’m happy to once again work on the visual side of projects related to it. The drawing promoting the concert is intentionally a delicate sketch, referring to the fact that we are presenting this music in its initial, pure form,” – says the artist.

Heroes Piano Collections is another project of the Game Music Foundation and the composers of music for the Heroes of Might & Magic series. On the initiative of the organization in 2015, Paul Romero performed a concert in Torun during the Tofifest International Film Festival.

In 2017, the organization produced the first symphonic concert of music from the games – The Symphony of Heroes. That same year, a beautiful vinyl album of Heroes Piano Sonatas came out on the Foundation’s Gamemusic Records label. In 2022, Gamemusic Records produced an official vinyl album of the original soundtrack for Heroes of Might & Magic III, which was reissued shortly thereafter.
