On Saturday May 24 at 12:30h, the CPMA Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jaume Pascual Sirera, will offer a concert dedicated to the music of the composer Luis Ivars, from Alicante, in the Church of San Pedro and San Pablo of Tabarca Island, Spain.
It will be the first time that a symphony orchestra performs in this unique enclave, giving rise to a historic concert within the prestigious Alicante International Film Festival.
One of the scores that will compose the concert program, will be Tabarka, the first film to which Ivars put the soundtrack almost 30 years ago. “The people of Alicante are going to experience the milestone of having the Symphony Orchestra of the José Tomás Conservatory of Music perform with its chief conductor Jaume Pascual, something unique,” said Ivars, who has made an extended adaptation of the Tabarka soundtrack for this concert. In addition, the soundtracks of the films 22 Ángeles and La Dama Boba will also be performed.
