The American filmmaker Martin Scorsese, who is being honored from 11 to 18 October in Asturias (Spain) with the events called ‘Scorsese Factory’, on the occasion of his reception of the Princess of Asturias Award for the Arts 2018, will be the protagonist of the concert tribute of today Saturday 13th of October at the Laboral Theater in Gijón (Spain).
There, the movie Taxi Driver (1976) will be projected, while the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias (OSPA) conducted by Robert Ziegler performs the fantastic score composed by the legendary Bernard Herrmann for the film; the last one he composed before dying on December 24, 1975.
Also, let’s highlight the meeting of Martin Scorsese with the public on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 7:30 pm, to be held at the Jovellanos Theater in Gijón (Spain).
