In spring 2017, the Los Angeles Philharmonic held a large festival featuring Icelandic music and performers. Now the Iceland Symphony Orchestra (ISO) is returning the favor by holding a festival of its own in Iceland, LA/Reykjavík-Festival (3-12 October), where music from Hollywood is at the center of the stage.

Richard Kaufman, musical director of the Chicago Symphony’s film music concerts for 11 years, will join today the Iceland Symphony Orchestra for a concert that will have gems such as Ben-Hur, The Bridge over the River Kwai, Gone with the Wind, Sunset Boulevard, The Monuments Men, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Superman and Star Wars by the legendary John Williams.
