David Hernando Rico will be conducting the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra in two very special concerts to commemorate the 100 years of the First Austrian Republic’s creation.

 

The first concert will take place on the 2nd of November in Bratislava (Slovakia) and the second concert will be on the 11th of November in Wimpassing (Austria). The city of Wimpassing teams this way with the Slovak Television and Radio for the organization of this memorable Anniversary.

 

The program contains amazing compositions by renowned Austrian and Slovak living composers, as well as Austrian great classics from the 20th Century:

  • E. W.  Korngold (1897-1957) – The Adventures of Robin Hood – Symphonic suite
  • Lubica Čekovská (1976*) – Music from the film “Alexander Dubček
  • Otto M. Schwarz (1967*) – The story of Anna Frank
  • Thomas Doss (1966*) – Somnium
  • Max Steiner (1888-1971) – Gone with the Wind – Music from the film
