Krakow Film Music Festival (22-26 May 2024) has announced that it will be releasing an official album with the music of this year’s guests, in collaboration with Magnetic Records.

After a break of several years, we are returning to the tradition of releasing collector’s albums!
Until now, albums with songs from the various editions of the festival were available as CDs. This year, for the first time, a vinyl version will also be available.
Batman Forever, The Peasants, Star Wars, The Lion King, Blade Runner, among others, are the themes from these films that will make up the unique festival album. The collector’s edition of the album on CD and vinyl will premiere on 22 May.
The albums will be released in a limited, hand-numbered edition. In the case of the CD, this will be 1000 copies released on audiophile gold disc. The vinyl records will be available in two colour versions: black and swirl green/black. Each version of the vinyl album will be released in an edition of 250 copies and will contain two LPs (180 grams each).
They will be available at a promotional price (CD – 49.90 PLN, vinyl black – 129 PLN, vinyl swirl green/black – 149 PLN) at concerts and in the Festival Village. After a hiatus of several years, one of the most important events in the world of film music is returning to the tradition of releasing collector’s albums. Until now, albums of songs from the various editions of the festival were available as CDs. This year, for the first time, a vinyl version will also be available.
The release contains nearly 80 minutes of music, including compositions by world masters such as Elliot Goldenthal and John Williams. There will be no shortage of pieces from famous productions of Polish cinema, such as Chłopi or Znachor. What’s more, music from the popular TV series 1670 will be released on physical carriers for the first time. A return to childhood and an intergenerational link are songs written by Elton John and Tim Rice for The Lion King – a Disney superproduction.
