The ‘Musika-Música’ festival organized by the City Council of Bilbao will celebrate the first weekend of March, -days 4, 5 and 6- its 21st edition dedicated to nature. Musika-Música “NATURA” will offer 70 concerts for all kinds of audiences in its usual marathon format, mainly at the Euskalduna Palace, but also at the Azkuna Zentroa, the Bizkaia Aretoa of the UPV/EHU, and for the first time at the Arriaga Theater.

This year, the already consolidated section of the festival dedicated to cinema will have three sessions:

  • The first one is on Friday 4 at 19:30h, with the start of the festival. The Bizkaia Aretoa UPV/EHU will host a round table moderated by the journalist specialized in Culture, César Coca, with film soundtrack composers such as Ángel Illarramendi – “Tasio”-, Fernando Velázquez – “The Impossible”- and Nerea Alberdi, composer, orchestrator, and arranger (free admission until full capacity is reached).

  • On Saturday 5 at 19:30h and on Sunday 6 at 13:45h, at the same venue, Patricia Sojo and César Coca will delve into the relationship between cinema, music, and nature, with two sessions: “Music drags me like the sea” on classics, nature, and cinema, and “This is how nature sounds in cinema” which will focus on how soundtrack composers reflect the landscape (tickets 6€ per session).
