The Polish movie ‘Bogowie’ (‘Gods’, 2014, dir. Łukasz Palkowski) will be screened today in Białystok (Poland), with live music performed by the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra and the B.A.Ch Film Ensemble, conducted by the composer of the soundtrack Bartosz Chajdecki.
‘Bogowie’ is a dramatic feature film based on the life and career of Polish cardiac surgeon Zbigniew Religa, who performed the first successful heart transplant in Poland in 1987. The movie won more than 15 awards at the Polish festivals in 2014 & 2015.
