Next week, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande will celebrate its 90th anniversary with the OSR Festival 2022 (August 18-20), at the magical atmosphere of Genève-Plage, presenting a series of sunset concerts on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland.


The festival will include 3 concerts, two of them dedicated to film music:

Thursday 18/8/20922 – 20:45h – #AQUATUBA

Led by conductor Jonathan Nott and with the participation of tuba player Ross Knight, the concert will include in its program the pieces ‘Johannes Brahms – Sérénade No 1 in D major, op. 11’ & ‘Edward Gregson – Concerto for Tuba and Orchestra’.

Friday 19/8/20922 – 20:45h – #CINÉPLAGE

Led by conductor Philippe Béran, the orchestra will bring the music to the silent movie ‘Safety Last! (1923)’, a film by Harold Lloyd with score by Carl Davis.

Saturday 20/8/20922 – 20:45h – #JAZZSPLASH

Led by conductor Jonathan Nott and with the participation of Marc Perrenoud (piano) and Marc Perrenoud Trio, audiences will enjoy an evening of jazz entitled ‘A Tribute to Michel Legrand’ with extracts from Les Parapluies de Cherbourg, Les Demoiselles de Rochefort, Summer of ‘42, The Thomas Crown Affair, and Peau d’Âne (arranged by Alexandre Mastrangelo).
