On Tuesday, July 25, composer Wim Mertens will present a world premiere, the 30 compositions of his new triple album “Cran aux Oeufs” – Integral in Madrid. The Belgian composer began to work on it after his special piano concert in the monument of Octavian Augustus in the archaeological site of Nikopolis, Greece (08/24/2014).
The evening in Madrid promises to be a unique event, both for being a world premiere of the album, and for being a marathon of three hours of music in two acts: Wim Mertens only with piano and voice, and Wim Mertens accompanied by his ensemble (string quintet).
