WonderCon Anaheim is an annual comic book, science fiction, and film convention held in Anaheim, California, that is being celebrated 29-31 of March 2019 at the Anaheim Convention Center. This event will hold several panels related to film music, with names such as Will Bates, Ronit Kirchman, The Newton Brothers, Sherri Chung, Jeff Rona, Leo Birenberg, Zach Robinson, Ryan Shore or Joe Kraemer.

  • 29/3/2019 – FRI – 16:00-17:00h – Spine-Tingling Suspense: Music for Thrillers and Drama
    • This panel will include the creative minds behind some of television’s fan-favorite series with composer Will Bates (The Magicians, Nightflyers), Ronit Kirchman (The Sinner), and The Newton Brothers (The Haunting of Hill House), to discuss what goes into scoring for suspense and thrills and how music can build unease and tension in viewers.   • 31/3/2019 – SUN – 13:00-14:00h – Inside La La Land Records
    • Acclaimed independent soundtrack label La-La Land Records celebrates its 17th year with a behind-the-scenes look at their album production history, which includes the orchestral wonders of the recent sci-fi TV hit The Orville, their newly released 40th anniversary restoration of maestro John Williams’ immortal Superman, classic Star Trek music releases, and even reveal some very exciting upcoming surprises. The panel will include La-La Land’s co-founders V. Gerhard and Matt Verboys, Mike Matessino, Dan Goldwasser, and composer Joe Kraemer.
