On March 26-27, 2021 a new edition of WonderCon@Home was celebrated, streaming to your living room panels, exhibits, contests, and more for free.

BMI (Broadcast Music Inc.) and White Bear PR presented the panel “Composer Stories: The Evolution of Music in Video Games” discussing how music in video gaming has come a long way from the days of 8-bit MIDI to full sweeping orchestral scores, and elaborated on the music creating process and the differences between scoring for film/TV and video games.

Composers Christopher Tin (Civilization IV, VI), Ilan Eshkeri (Ghost of Tsushima), Nami Melumad (Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond), Inon Zur (Fallout series) (appearing courtesy of Top Dollar PR), and Bobby Tahouri (Marvel’s Avengers) alongside co-moderators Natalie Baartz (VP, Creative, Film, TV & Visual Media at BMI) and Chandler Poling (co-founder of White Bear PR) talked about what went into scoring their award-winning music and the challenges that come with recording live instruments for video games.
