Event ‘Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends – A Celebration’ in London

Producer Cameron Mackintosh has invited many of Stephen Sondheim’s old friends to join him in celebrating his extraordinary talents and legacy at the theatre which was recently gloriously rebuilt in his honour: the Sondheim Theatre in London.

The evening, which takes place for one night, only on Tuesday, 3 May 2022 at 20h, will be staged by Matthew Bourne and Maria Friedman, with choreography by Stephen Mear and a 26-piece orchestra conducted by Alfonso Casado Trigo. All profits from the evening will go to the Stephen Sondheim Foundation.

For those who cannot get tickets, the gala will be screened live at the Prince Edward Theatre powered by The Luna Cinema. The event will start at 19h with a live broadcast from the Sondheim Theatre, leading up to the Gala commencing at 20h.
