Fans of Music From the Movies – 2nd Edition
Fans of Music From the Movies gathering, which last September celebrated its first edition in London, is already organizing a new edition for 2017, to be held on September 9th, 2017 at Angel Studios in Islington (London).
As it was announced a few months ago in this news (see link), Fans of Music From the Movies is an event that goes on during one morning, and has several composers related to film music world in a conference/panel, which is followed by a session of Q&A, and the possibility of approaching and meeting them in person later.
Whilst in 2016 Debbie Wiseman, Daniel Pemberton, Christopher Gunning, Mark Thomas and Trevor Jones attended the event, this year, the presence of a second guest composer was announced yesterday Frank Ilfman (author of soundtracks from Killing Girls, Big Bad Wolves, Abulele or Sensoria), following the recent announcement of the British composer Guy Farley (author of Anthropoid, Tula: The Revolt, Irish Jam or Dot.com)
James Fitzpatrick will host the event this year again, and Tadlow Music is currently the only sponsor announced, being the event organized by James Fitzpatrick & Tim Smith.
There’s still a lot of time left, but new guest composers will be confirmed in the coming months (up to a total of 5 or perhaps 6 guests), and SoundTrackFest will report punctually as new names are announced.
