The French Festival 1001 Notes (25-29 July 2023), will celebrate three film music concerts in Limoges, France.

Thu – 27/7/2023 – 18h – Tribute to Harry Potter

The talented pianist Delphine Pillich pays tribute to the magical world created by J.K Rowling, playing pieces by the composers of the soundtracks, including the illustrious John Williams and Alexandre Desplat, at the Patinoire Olympique de Limoges in Limoges, France.

Sat – 29/7/2023 – 18h – Tribute to Studio Ghibli

Rendezvous in the imaginary worlds of Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata’s Studio Ghibli. Joe Hisaishi’s music will be performed on official piano scores by Steinway & Sons artist Nicolas Horvath, as part of the next double-album officially approved by Studio Ghibli and its copyright holders, scheduled for release in 2023.

 

An ideal opportunity to delve back into the Japanese studio’s filmography, with one of the most beloved and respected composers of his generation at the Patinoire Olympique de Limoges in Limoges, France.

Sat – 29/7/2023 – 21h – Cinéma Symphonique

An original staging transports you into the world of classic films past and present, through interpretations of their soundtracks. The program includes music from James Bond, Rabbi Jacob, Once Upon a Time in the West, Star Wars, Pirate of the Caribbean and many more.

 

Romain Leleu, renowned trumpeter, will perform with the talented Artuan de Lierrée, multi-instrumentalist from Limoges. The duo will be accompanied by 100 musicians and choristers, drawn from various ensembles in the Limousin region. Comedians Adrien Ledoux and Selim Ennjimi, will interpret the film roles and host the evening at the Patinoire Olympique de Limoges in Limoges, France.
