Film Music Concert at the San Sebastian Festival 2024

The 72nd edition of the San Sebastian International Film Festival – Donostia Zinemaldia will offer its traditional annual concert and screening event, which this year celebrates its 11th edition, on Saturday, September 21st, 2024 at 18:00h at the Anoeta Velodrome in San Sebastian.

Thus, on the first Saturday of the Festival, the Velodrome opens in the afternoon to music lovers, film fans, and the general public, in a show that combines the symphonic interpretation of soundtracks and a montage of scenes from the films to which they belong, offering an hour and a half of audiovisual pleasure.

 

The concert will be performed by the Euskadiko Orkestra under the baton of Juanjo Ocón, with the participation of the Andra Mari Abesbatza choir, the vocalist Ainara Ortega and the violinist Cibrán Seixo.

Film Music Concert at the San Sebastian Festival 2024

 

As it is customary in such concerts, the composers who contribute with music to the program are usually presesnt, so, although there is no official confirmation yet, it is very likely that the concert will have special guests.

 

The concert is organized by the Euskadiko Orkestra, the SGAE Foundation, and the San Sebastian International Film Festival – Donostia Zinemaldia.  Entry is free, and the invitation must be picked up between 14 and 20 September at the San Sebastian Festival information point at Kursaal, from 9:00 to 20:00, or at the San Sebastian Tourism Office, Monday through Saturday from 9:00 to 20:00, and Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00.
