Film music concerts at the 23rd Fantastic Costa del Sol International Film Fest
The 23rd Fantastic Costa del Sol International Film Fest (4 – 10 Sept 2022), will have two film music concerts in its program.
OPENING GALA – SUNDAY 4/9/2022 – 19:30h
The Felipe VI Auditorium in Estepona (Malaga) will host the exhibition “20 years with Harry Potter”, which will be followed by a concert of the best music from the films of the Harry Potter universe performed by the Symphonic Band “Ciudad de Jaén” led by its conductor Pedro López Álvarez.
In this event, the Special Jury Award “Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Costa del Sol Occidental” will be given to the actor JOAQUÍN NUÑEZ, for his representation as an Andalusian actor in the audiovisual world outside the borders of the community.
The actor and special effects technician TREVOR BUTTERFIELD will receive the “20th Anniversary Harry Potter” award and the magician ANTHONY BLAKE will act as godfather of the festival.
The gala will end with the opening film of the Official Section, “El Desarmadero”, which will be presented by its director, the Argentinean EDUARDO PINTO. Tickets, free of charge, can be picked up at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center from August 29th or at the box office on the day of the event.
GALA DE CLAUSURA – SÁBADO 10’/9/2022 – 19:30h
Once again, the Felipe VI Auditorium in Estepona will host the festival’s gala, presented by actor and comedian CHEMA FUENTES.
During the event, the Estepona group of film music versions MALPASO, will present their album “SONGS TO SURVIVE A CATASTROPHE”, with songs from films like “The Poseidon Adventure”, “Titanic”, “Mars Attack” or “Armageddon”, among others, also featuring guest singer Virginia Alexandre.
At the end of the gala, the audience will be given a CD of this work, and the “Unicorn Awards” will be presented to the winning films in the Official Selection of the festival.
The tickets, totally free of charge, can be picked up from Monday 5, at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center.
