Film Music Prague 2019 – John Powell & Harry Gregson-Williams
The Film Music Prague festival, that announced its first guest for 2019 a few months ago, John Powell, who will open next year’s edition with a special concert dedicated to his music (read news), has just announced his second guest: Harry Gregson-Williams.
But let’s go step by step and let’s talk first about John Powell, since we already know more details of his special concert called ‘Stars of Hollywood – John Powell’, which will be held on Friday, February 1st, 2019 – 7:00 p.m. at the Rudolfinum in Prague.
The concert will be performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Christian Schumann, and will feature the Kühn Choir. The provisional program (subject to changes), is the following:

Regarding Harry Gregson-Williams, he will present his music which was written for movies of legendary director Ridley Scott in a concert named ‘Legends: Ridley Scott’, where you will listen to his scores from Kingdom of Heaven, The Martian, Prometheus and Exodus: Gods and Kings. The program will also include music from other Scott’s famous movies such as: Conquest of Paradise, Thelma and Louise, Hannibal or Gladiator.
The concert will be celebrated on Sunday 3rd of February 2019 – 19h at the Forum Karlin (Prague), and the orchestra and choir haven’t been announced yet, but we know that French singer Denez Prigent, who originally participated in the soundtrack for Black Hawk Down, will perform at the concert.
