IFMCA Awards 15th edition – Winners

Today, Thursday, February 21st, winners for the 15th edition of the IFMCA Awards (International Film Music Critics Association) have been presented.

 

Founded in 1990 by Mikael Carlsson, IFMCA is an association of online, print, and radio journalists who specialize in writing about original film, video game, and television music, which has grown to comprise over 65 members from countries all over the world.

As for the winners, the award for the best soundtrack of the year goes to John Powell for his work in SOLO, the best composer of the year is James Newton Howard, and the breakthrough composer of the year is Amelia Warner, getting John Williams the award ‘Film Music Composition of the Year’ for “The Adventures of Han” from SOLO.
