The Facebook page of Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi has just announced a news that fans were expecting eagerly; this famous composer, especially known for his musical collaborations in the animated films of Studio Ghibli with Hayao Miyazaki, will return to Europe in 2017, specifically to the Congress Palace in Paris, to conduct his music.
The scheduled dates are June 9 and 10, 2017, and under the title “Joe Hisaishi Symphonic Concert: Music from the Studio Ghibli Films of Hayao Miyazaki“, Hisaishi will be in charge of the Lamoureux Orchestra and Choir in a concert organized by Columbia Artists Management Inc. and Overlook Events.
This thematic concert aims to explore the collaborative relationship between music and storytelling, mixing music and visual elements to celebrate the long joint career of Joe Hisaishi and Oscar-winning director Hayao Miyazaki (with the film Spirited Away – 2002, who also received an honorary Oscar in 2014).
The tickets will go on sale tomorrow, Tuesday, November 22 at 2pm, and although the website where the sale will be conducted, or the approximate prices of the tickets are not published, it is presumed that it will be on the official website of the own Palace of Congresses of Paris:
¡A great opportunity to enjoy the splendid music of this fabulous composer!
