‘The Great Escape – Live in concert’ – World premiere conducted by Peter Bernstein

‘The Great Escape’ (1963, dir. John Sturges) is one of the best-loved war films ever made. Starred by Steve McQueen, depicts the story of a group of Second World War POWs intent on breaking out of a top-security camp by any means possible.

 

Its unforgettable score, written by Elmer Bernstein, will be performed in a world premiere by the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Peter Bernstein, his son, in-sync with the film screened in high definition.
