On the other hand, indicate that the “Composition Contest for Young International Film Music Composers” annually organized by the festival, is also underway.
Candidates must be under 36 years old and will be asked to compose music for a thrilling scene of the Italian movie ‘Il Conformista’ from 1970, directed by Bernardo Bertolucci and with original music from Georges Delerue.
A jury composed out of international film and music professionals will carefully select 3 final compositions, whose composers will be invited to attend the festival to watch their music performed at the 17th World Soundtrack Awards Gala by Brussels Philharmonic conducted by maestro Dirk Brossé. Afterwards, the winner of the contest will be announced, awarded with 2.500€.
