Ennio Morricone retires in 2018

UPDATE: 27/12/2018 – Ennio Morricone will conduct his final concerts in June 2019 in Rome (read news).

Maestro Ennio Morricone has just added a new concert to his tour ‘The 60 Years of Music Tour’ in London (United Kingdom), which will be held on Monday, November 26th, 2018 at The O2, a couple of weeks after his 90th birthday (on November 10th, 2018).

When asked about this concert, maestro Ennio Morricone said:

“I have very fond memories of my tours to the UK. From my very first concert at the Barbican Centre to my shows at the beautiful Royal Albert Hall and recently the spectacular nights at The O2 arena and the Blenheim Palace grounds. The English audience has always given me a very warm welcome and I felt strongly that I should play one last big concert in London before I retire at the end of this year.”

Therefore, this concert, which is announced as “The Last Ever UK Concert”, will be one of the last concerts offered by Ennio Morricone, before retiring at the end of 2018.
