World Soundtrack Awards 2026 – First wave of nominees

The nominees for the 26th edition of the World Soundtrack Awards have been announced, once again highlighting the incredible scores and songs composed for film and television over the past year. On 10 October, the winners will be announced at the annual WSA Ceremony & Concert during Film Fest Gent.

 

The 26th edition of the World Soundtrack Awards promises to be a celebratory evening filled with top-tier music for the big and small screen. Once again, the impressive film and television scores and songs from the past year will take centre stage. As Guest of Honour, we welcome Icelandic composer Hildur Guðnadóttir, who previously won Television Composer of the Year (2019) and Film Composer of the Year (2020) at the World Soundtrack Awards. Renowned South African composer Trevor Jones, famed for his scores for The Last of the Mohicans (1992), Notting Hill (1999), and Mississippi Burning (1988), will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
