Camille Awards 2026 – Winners

On 22 September 2026 at 19:00, the ceremony of the Camille Awards (European Film Composer Awards) took place at the MuTh Theatre in Vienna, Austria. The ceremony was organised by the European Composer and Songwriter Alliance (ECSA) in collaboration with its member organisation Austrian Composers Association (ACOM), and with the support of Creative Europe and AKM.

 

The ceremony honoured composers of original music for audiovisual works in three categories: “Best Film Score”, “Best Score for a Feature Documentary” and “Best Original Music for a Drama Series”.

 

Winner “Best Film Score”

John Gürtler & Jan Miserre (Germany) for “The Outrun”, directed by Nora Fingscheidt

 

Winner “Best Score for a Feature Documentary”

Katharina Nuttall (Sweden) for “Filmen om Siw (My life as Siw)”, directed by Stina Gardell

 

Winner “Best Original Music for a Drama Series”

Halfdan E. (Denmark) for “Reservatet”, directed by Per Fly

 

During the ceremony, the winner of a special additional category was honoured: Patrick Doyle (United Kingdom) was presented with an Outstanding Contribution Award in recognition of his long and distinguished career both as a uniquely gifted film composer and as a committed advocate for the community of film composers.

 

The prestigious Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich performed the nominated pieces live. The ceremony also included speeches from ACOM President Peter Legat, ECSA President Helienne Lindvall, Member of the European Parliament Hannes Heide, and composer Siegfried Friedrich (ACOM).

 

This year’s international jury, who decided on the final winners among the nominees, consisted of three exceptional and renowned film composers: Alberto Iglesias, Christian Kolonovits, and Johan Söderqvist. The nominees were carefully selected by ECSA’s FFACE (film and audiovisual) committee. ECSA sincerely thanks the international jury and the FFACE Committee for their valuable time.

 

The next Camille Awards ceremony will take place in 2028.
