Celtic Connections 2019 – World premiere of Brave in concert

As we told you a few weeks ago (read news), a special concert called “Patrick Doyle – A Celebration” will be held on Thursday, 24th of January 2019 in Glasgow, encompassed in UK’s premier celebration of Celtic music: Celtic Connections 2019 (17-Jan-19 till 3-Feb-19).

Now we bring you news about another special event: the world premiere of the movie Brave, a computer-animated fantasy adventure film, that will be screened live in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Saturday, January 19th, 2019 (2pm / 5:30 pm), with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra conducted by Dirk Brossé performing Patrick Doyle’s iconic score.

The two shows will have solo performances from Chris Stout, Lorne MacDougall, Jim Sutherland and Jarlath Henderson, all of whom appeared on the original soundtrack, and will showcase young singers from Scotland performing memorable songs from the film. Patrick Doyle is also very likely to attend this world premiere.
