Camille Awards 2026 – Patrick Doyle

ECSA is delighted to announce that Patrick Doyle (UK) will be presented with an Outstanding Contribution Award at the 2026 edition of the Camille Awards. Mr. Doyle will receive this honour in recognition of his long and distinguished career both as a uniquely gifted film composer and as a committed advocate for the community of film composers.

Chris Smith, member of the Camille Awards Steering Group, says: “Patrick has written an extraordinary number of exceptional scores that have both delighted and been a source of inspiration to many. Moreover, with his steadfast commitment to the wider community of film composers, championing the recognition of composers’ creative contribution and the protection of their rights, he has played a major role in improving the working environment for present and future generations of film composers.”

Over the course of his illustrious career, Patrick Doyle has composed music for a wide range of international films, as well as for television, radio and theatre. He has worked regularly with director Kenneth Branagh, beginning with Henry V (1989), which marked the start of his career as a film composer. His credits include films such as Sense and Sensibility,  Hamlet, Gosford Park, Bridget Jones’s Diary, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Thor, Brave, and Cinderella.

In receiving this award, Patrick Doyle joins a select group of distinguished composers, including Meastro Ennio Morricone, who received the award in 2020, and Miriam Cutler, who received the award in 2024.

This year, the Camille Awards, organised by ECSA, will take place on 22nd September at the MuTh Theatre in Vienna, Austria. The ceremony will be hosted by ECSA member Austrian Composers (ACOM). During the ceremony, the achievements of European film composers will also be celebrated in three additional categories: “Best Original Film Score”, “Best Original Music for a TV Drama Series” and “Best Original Score for a Feature Documentary”.
