Finalists of the 3rd Edition of the Gil Soundtrack Award 2020 – International Soundtrack Competition

Last Thursday, October 8, the list of finalists of the 3rd edition of the ‘Gil Soundtrack Award / International Soundtrack Competition’ was revealed. This award, organized by Gil Family Estates, has the largest endowment in the world for a contest of this type, 50.000 € to the winner.

NOTE: The names of the authors have not been made public and they will remain anonymous during the whole process, being their publication a reason to be disqualified.
Next Thursday, October 29, 2020, the winner of this 3rd edition will be announced, and although the identity of the jury has not been revealed, it has been announced that that the Icelandic Oscar-winning composer Hildur Guðnadóttir, will supervise the works presented and will preside over the jury in charge of deciding the award.
As it is planned, and if the sanitary measures allow it, the premiere of the winning work will take place on December 3, 2020 in Madrid, and will be performed simultaneously with the screening of the short film by the Film Symphony Orchestra, being also recorded live.
