FSO Summer Camp 2018 – Music camp for kids
The Spanish orchestra Film Symphony Orchestra (FSO) has just launched the first edition of their ‘FSO Summer Camp 2018’ aimed at children between 5 and 18 years, who wish to spend a different summer immersed in activities that allow them to learn music and many other things, through the soundtracks of their favorite movies.
The working method will focus on the study of well-known film scores, with special emphasis on the content of the films they represent. In this way, film music will become a vehicle that will bring young people, through playful activities, to other disciplines such as astronomy, archeology or physics, with music from films such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Frozen or Harry Potter.
The camp will include group rehearsals, thematic workshops, leisure activities, excursions and at the end, a closing concert with the teachers of the FSO, where the parents will attend as guests.
The camp will have three modalities (one has to be chosen at the time of registration), depending on the participant’s musical knowledge:
