John Williams – Two new concerts in September
Despite turning 85 years old a month ago, John Williams is more active than ever, as he has just added two new concerts to his agenda for the month of September.
The first of these concerts will be on Saturday, September 9th at 8:00 pm in Nashville, being this the first time that Williams will visit the venue, and will be held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center performed by the Nashville Symphony with the title “An Evening with John Williams & the Nashville Symphony“.
The night will open with Giancarlo Guerrero conducting Williams’ concerto for orchestra and bassoon entitled The Five Sacred Trees, featuring principal bassoonist Julia Harguindey. The second half will feature John Williams conducting the orchestra to perform highlights from some of his more than 100 film scores, including music from Star Wars, E.T., Indiana Jones, Harry Potter & more.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, July 21st at 10:00 a.m., with estimated prices between $ 125 and $ 750 (VIP), including VIP tickets access to the post-concert party, with John Williams’ attendance. More information in:

The second concert will be held on Wednesday, September 27th at 7:30 pm in Seattle, at the Taper Auditorium and performed by the Seattle Symphony Orchestra with the title “John Williams Conducts Williams“.
With a program not determined yet, John Williams will be on stage to conduct music from many of his beloved film scores including Star Wars, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Indiana Jones, Schindler’s List and more.

Let’s not forget that throughout 2017, John Williams will conduct two concerts in May in Boston (read news), two in August in Tanglewood (read news) and three in September at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles (read news), not counting the two concerts we just announced here.
It seems that this year we’ll have many opportunities to enjoy maestro Williams in concert; but we’ll have to travel to the United States for that.
