As we approach Maestro John Williams’ 90th birthday (Feb 8), The film Orchestra is delighted to programme a very special concert on Feb 5, 2022 at The Bacon Theatre, featuring some of his greatest film scores.
Entitled ‘Happy Birthday John Williams!’, this concert, conducted by David Curtis, will include music from the movies Harry Potter, E.T., Schindler’s List, Jaws, The Cowboys, Jurassic Park, Star Wars, and more. The show will be completed with a big screen over the orchestra where fan-art will be projected during the performance, plus a light show.
The film Orchestra is the UK’s 1st amateur orchestra to perform only original music for film, TV & video games. Founded in Worcester in 2012 by Jane Whittle, this 60-piece orchestra has developed a reputation for bringing exciting programmes of screen music to a wide audience, welcoming all ages to its concerts and outdoor events.
