BMI – Berklee College of Music Scholarship
Tomorrow Monday November 14th, composers Lolita Ritmanis and Miriam Cutler will present the annual Berklee College of Music Scholarship in Boston, with the help of BMI Vice President of Film, TV & Visual Media Relations, Doreen Ringer-Ross.
This scholarship sponsored by BMI, will be granted to a film scoring student of the Berklee College selected by the college’s Film Scoring Department, based on his/her musical capabilities and potential career projection in film scoring.
Every year the scholarship is given in the name of a noted BMI composer, being this year composers Lolita Ritmanis and Miriam Cutler the honored members. After the presentation and conference, a lunch will be held for guests and media members.
As Doreen Ringer-Ross stated “This scholarship continues our mission of supporting young and emerging composers at the college level. We support Berklee’s commitment to excellence in music and film scoring and we are particularly proud to be bringing two strong women composer role models to present this for us this year.“.
