Camille Awards 2024 – Nominees

Yesterday, June 19th, ECSA – European Composer and Songwriter Alliance announced the nominees for the 2024 edition of the Camille Awards, which will be celebrated on 13 November 2024 at the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF) in Paris, France.

ECSA is excited to reveal the nominees of the 2024 edition of the Camille Awards. This year, the Camille Awards will honour composers of original music for audiovisual works in the categories “Best Film Score”, “Best Score for a Feature Documentary” and “Best Original Music for a Drama Series”.

 

Nominees for “Best Film Score”

  • Dalibor Grubačević (Croatia) for “The Conversation”, directed by Dominik Sedlar
  • Baba Stiltz (Sweden) for “Shame on Dry Land”, directed by Axel Petersén
  • Alfonso de Vilallonga (Spain) for “Robot Dreams”, directed by Pablo Berger

 

Nominees for “Best Score for a Feature Documentary”

  • Nainita Desai (United Kingdom) for “The Deepest Breath”, directed by Laura McGann
  • Anna Rice (Ireland) for “I Dream in Photos”, directed by Ollie Aslin and Gary Lennon
  • Jonas Struck (Denmark) for “Apolonia, Apolonia”, directed by Lea Glob

 

Nominees for “Best Original Music for a Drama Series”

  • Blair Mowat (United Kingdom) for “Nolly”, directed by Russell T. Davies
  • Hannah Peel (Northern Ireland, United Kingdom) for “The Midwich Cuckoos”, directed by David Farr
  • Arnau Vilà (Spain) for “Las Noches de Tefía”, directed by Miguel del Arco

 

An international jury of renowned composers will now elect their favourite piece of work in each category. The final winners will be announced at the Camille Awards ceremony, taking place on 13th November at the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris, France.

 

Last week, ECSA announced (read more) the winner of a fourth, additional category: Miriam Cutler will be presented with an Outstanding Contribution Award in recognition of her long and exceptional career both as a composer and an outstanding advocate for inclusivity in the world of film music.

 

The Camille Awards are organised with the support of Creative Europe and the Film Music Foundation.
