Cinefan Festival Úbeda 2020 – Concert & program
Despite the complexity of the current sanitary situation, Cinefan Festival Úbeda is coming back, to celebrate its 8th edition in Ubeda (Jaen, Spain), from Friday 21 to Sunday 23, August 2020. The program will include a film music concert, as well as conferences, meetings with actors, and other cultural activities of a diverse nature.
There are already many national and international guests who have confirmed their attendance at the event, despite the crisis, with several successful series in the program: The Ministry of Time, El Pueblo, Vis a Vis, Toy Boy, Money Heist, Paquita Salas or the international Game of Thrones and The Last Kingdom. In addition, the festival will continue to dedicate space to sagas such as Star Wars and its 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back or Harry Potter.
The unique concert of this edition, will be performed by the Banda Sinfonica “Ciudad de Jaén” conducted by Pedro López Álvarez, with the special collaboration from the singer, composer, and musician Paco Ortega, as well as the baritone Damián del Castillo, and as in each edition, all the festival guests will walk the red carpet before the event.
The first part of the concert will be dedicated to celebrating several anniversaries, mainly the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back, the 35th anniversary of Back to the Future and there will also be a space for the great Maestro Ennio Morricone, with essential pieces that are linked to the history of cinema. In the case of Morricone, the festival wants to pay him a special tribute, in occasion of his recent death, and during the gala there will be music from Cinema Paradiso, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and Once Upon a Time in the West.
The second part of the concert is entitled “Made in Spain” and its program will be kept secret, as is tradition every year.

The event will have a capacity of 500 attendees, with seats that will be nominative, and that will have the necessary separation to avoid any type of risks.
