Composers Summit Prague 2024 – Conferences & concerts
From April 18-23, 2024, the 3rd edition of Composers Summit Prague will welcome the most renowned composers of film music, series, and other orchestral works, including music from the gaming industry, with guest names such as: Jesper Kyd, John Debney, Conrad Pope, Tom Howe, Nan Schwartz, Chris Egan, Maclaine Diemer, Elia Cmiral, Christopher Young, Paul K Joyce, Mychael Danna, Jeff Beal, Eunike Tanzil, or Antoni Komasa Lazarkiewicz among many others.
The Composers Summit creates a platform for meetings of amateurs and experts alike who can create new works, share experiences or strike up valuable cooperation. The summit will include lessons under the guidance of Hollywood composers, including accompanying events, discussions and lectures, over the course of six days. The event opens with a thematic concert for the public presented by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra (CNSO) and personally conducted by guest composers.

Additionally, the summit will include concerts, one open to the public and a second one as part of the closing event:
Thursday 18/4 – 19:00h – OPENING CONCERT – SPECTACULAR MUSIC OF HOLLYWOOD
The opening concert of the Composers Summit Prague 2024 will present its guest start on one stage, who will personally lead their most famous works from film, video game, and TV series, performed by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra at the Obecní dům – Municipal House, accompanied by special projections.
More than a dozen Hollywood composers will take turns as conductors on one stage, presenting spectacular music from films, series, and video games: Star Wars, The Greatest Showman, Iron Man 2, Il Postino, The Princess Diaries, Liar Liar, Ted Lasso, Assassin‘s Creed, Hitman, Moneyball, Hellraiser, Bob the Builder, Guild Wars 2, and more.

Tuesday 23/4 – 19:00h – CLOSING CONCERT
The final evening of Composers Summit Prague 2024 takes you to Grégr‘s hall of the Municipal House where the legendary – five-time Emmy Award winner Jeff Beal will be accompanied by Quartet Epoque & Jan Kučera, Bady Zbořil, and Robert Balzar. This promises to be a night of diverse and captivating music.
