After a brief hiatus due to the pandemic, the 70th edition of the San Sebastian International Film Festival – Donostia Zinemaldia, resumes its traditional annual concert & screening event, to be held on Saturday, September 17 – 12:00h at the Anoeta Velodrome in San Sebastian.
Thus, on the first Saturday of the Festival, the Velodrome opens at noon to music lovers, film fans, and the general public, in a show that combines the symphonic interpretation of soundtracks and a montage of scenes from the films to which they belong, offering an hour and a half of audiovisual pleasure.
The concert will be performed by the Euskadiko Orkestra under the baton of Juanjo Ocón, with the participation of the Andra Mari Abesbatza choir, and will have the following program:
As it is customary in such concerts, the composers who contribute with music to the program are usually presesnt, so, although there is no official confirmation yet, it is very likely that the concert will have special guests.
The concert is organized by the Euskadiko Orkestra, the SGAE Foundation, and the San Sebastian International Film Festival – Donostia Zinemaldia. Admission is free and the corresponding invitation can be collected from September 10 to 16 at the San Sebastian Festival information point at the Kursaal, from 9:00 to 20:00, as well as at the Donostia Turismoa office, from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 20:00 and on Sunday, from 10:00 to 19:00.
