Films in Concert 2019 – Royal Albert Hall
The ‘Films in Concert’ series that the Royal Albert Hall organizes every year, offers the possibility to experience classic films with live orchestral accompaniment, in the spectacular surroundings of that impressive venue.
In SoundTrackFest we have already talked about the ‘Settling The Score’ concert with David Arnold vs Michael Giacchino to be held this year in October (read more) and the ‘Blade Runner Live – World premiere’ concert to be held one week later (read more), but let’s have a look in this article to the rest of the concerts announced for this year 2019 in the series ‘Films in Concert’:
STAR WARS – THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK IN CONCERT (21, 22 & 23 September 2019)
This legendary movie will be presented live in concert for the first time in the UK, projected in high-definition on the big screen and accompanied by the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Dirk Brossé, taking John Williams’ epic score to a breathtaking new dimension.

SKYFALL IN CONCERT (4 & 5 October 2019)
This concert will present the world premiere of the James Bond movie ‘Skyfall’ with Thomas Newman’s BAFTA-winning original score performed live by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra in sync to the picture.

BAAHUBALI – THE BEGINNING LIVE (19 October 2019)
The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra conducted by Ludwig Wicki, will present India’s biggest box office smash-hit ‘Baahubali – The Beginning’, while M.M. Keeravani’s epic score is played live, in a world premiere produced by Avex Classics International.
Ahead of the screening, there will be a Q&A live on stage with the film’s director S.S. Rajamouli and composer M.M. Keeravaani.

HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE IN CONCERT (1, 2 & 3 November 2019)
The Harry Potter Film Concert Series returns to the Royal Albert Hall for the fourth installment of J.K. Rowling’s classic saga, with a live symphony orchestra conducted by Justin Freer, to perform Patrick Doyle’s score while the movie is projected in a big screen in high-definition.
