FIMUCITÉ 12 – Full program
Today begins the Tenerife International Film Music Festival (FIMUCITÉ) to be held in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain) from Friday, September 21st to Sunday, September 30th, 2018.
During the last weeks we have published information about the festival in several specific posts in SoundTrackFest, and with this special article, we want to group all that information in one place, so that you have it handy.
GUESTS
The festival will have composers Christopher Young, Ben Foster, Nick Foster, Jean-Michel Bernard, Laura Karpman, Carlos M. Jara, and Óscar Martín Leanizbarrutia and soloists Kimiko Ono, Lydia Kavina, Adé Da Costa, Esther Ovejero, and Fran León.
Regarding industry guests, you will find well-known names such as Robert Townson (Varése Sarabánde), Javier Serra (Journalist), Enrique Gato (Film director), Darío Palomo (Musimagen), James Fitzpatrick (Tadlow Music), Agata Grabowiecka (Krakow FMF), Doreen Ringer-Ross (BMI), Ruby Wasmuth (McDadade Music Publihsing), Pedro Ferrer (Ediciones Rosetta), Mar Targarona (Film director) and Gorka Oteiza (Founder and director of SoundTrackFest).

FIMUCITE FILM SCORING ACADEMY
The FIMUCITÉ Film Scoring Academy for Audiovisual Composers, celebrates this year its 3rd edition on 26, 27 and 28th of September, with the following activities:

AWARDS, TRIBUTES and FIMUCINEMA
The festival will present the first edition of the ‘Spanish Audiovisual Music Awards’ that is an initiative of FIMUCITÉ and Musimagen (Asociación de Compositores de Música para Audiovisual – Association of Music Composers for the Audiovisual) aimed at recognizing the creative talent in Spain:

The 6th edition of FIMUCINEMA will have works that will compete for the best original score awards in their respective categories (Alex North Award for Best Soundtrack in fiction feature, and the Fimucinema Awards for the best original score for documentary, short film, and best original song):

And finally actress Concha Velasco will receive the FIMUCITÉ – Antón García Abril award and the festival will pay posthumous tribute to the composers Joe Harnell and Jóhann Jóhannsson:
