Goya Awards 35th edition – Nominees

Today, Monday, January 18th, the nominations to the 35th edition of the Goya Awards, often called the Spanish “Oscars”, have been announced.

 

Organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain, they have the purpose of rewarding the best professionals in each of the different specialties of the sector, both technical and creative.

 

Divided into a total of 28 categories, we can highlight the following:

Best original music/score

  • Roque Baños – Adú
  • Aránzazu Calleja y Maite Arroitajauregi – Akelarre
  • Bingen Mendizábal y Koldo Uriarte – Baby
  • Federico Jusid – El verano que vivimos

 

Best original song

  • Cherif Badua y Roque Baños – Sababoo (Movie: Adú)
  • Alejandro Sanz y Alfonso Pérez Arias – El verano que vivimos (Movie: El verano que vivimos)
  • María Rozalén – Que no, que no (Movie: La boda de Rosa)
  • Carlos Naya – Lunas de papel (Movie: Las niñas)

The gala will be celebrated on 6 March 2021 at the Teatro del Soho in Málaga in a ceremony hosted by Antonio Banderas and María Casado, which will have no guests due to the pandemic, being broadcast online. Composer and conductor Arturo Diéz Boscovich will be the musical director of the Gala (read more).
