Hollywood in Vienna 2018 – Hans Zimmer
The Hollywood in Vienna 2018 festival, which will be held on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th of October 2018, has just announced its main guest; composer Hans Zimmer, who will receive the Max Steiner Award at the gala on Friday 19th held at the Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna (Austria).
This year will mark the 10th Anniversary of the Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award, bestowed each year by the City of Vienna to one of the world’s most renowned film music composers, as a symbol of recognition for exceptional achievements in the art of film music. To celebrate the occasion, the gala event will be broadcast via TV internationally to over 35 countries.
The two concerts to be held will celebrate the music of Hans Zimmer, with some of his most iconic film compositions performed live and for the first time ever in a classic concert hall, where some of the pieces will be with new orchestral arrangements by the composer himself.
The tickets will go on sale next Monday, May 7th, and as on previous occasions, it’s expected they run out within hours of starting their sale:
