IFMCA Awards 15th edition – Nominees
Today, Thursday, February 7th, nominations for the 15th edition of the IFMCA Awards (International Film Music Critics Association) have been presented.
Founded in 1990 by Mikael Carlsson, IFMCA is an association of online, print, and radio journalists who specialize in writing about original film, video game and television music, which has grown to comprise over 65 members from countries all over the world.
The most nominated composers on this edition are James Newton Howard with four nominations, closely followed by Nicholas Britell, Alexandre Desplat, Ludwig Göransson, Justin Hurwitz, and John Powell, with three nominations each. If we talk about the Spanish presence, we can see names such as Roque Baños, Iván Palomares, Manuel Riveiro, Xavier Font, Federico Jusid and the label Quartet Records owned by José María Benítez among the nominations.
