ISFMF 2018 festival – First wave of guests
The Croatian International Sound & Film Music Festival (ISFMF), that will be celebrated from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st of October 2018, will announce its official program of activities this week, but today has released its guest list to SoundTrackFest, which we publish here in an exclusive.
The first wave of guests will have:
- Composers: Stephen Warbeck, Richard Bellis, and Gary Marlowe.
- ECSA representatives: Alfons Karabuda, Bent Aserud, and Chris Smith.
- Camille jury members and composers: Patrick de Caumette and Ozren K. Glaser.
- Camille award nominated composers: Rupert Gregson-Williams (UK), Ginge Anvik (Norway), Lasse Enersen (Finland), Adrian Foulkes (Spain), and Jacob Groth (Denmark).
- Industry members: Michael Todd (ASCAP), Robert Townson (Varèse Sarabande) and Stefan Ruzowitzky (Austrian movie director).
As you can see, the list includes very important names from the world of film music, as well as relevant people from the industry, and from organizations as important as ECSA – European Composer and Songwriter Alliance. It’s quite clear that Pula in Croatia, will be a main hub for film music in Europe that weekend, with two great events that will set the pace of the festival:
- On the one hand we have the celebration of the Camille Awards, former Grand Scores Awards granted by ECSA, which will be presented on Saturday, October 20th, at a gala ceremony within the festival (read news).
- On the other we have the traditional Crystal Pine Awards, annually awarded by the festival, which will be held on Sunday, October 21st, with a voting round in process by the members of the ISFMF Academy (read news), where SoundTrackFest is also included.
