Jóhann Jóhannsson’s concert in Los Angeles
Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson will offer a concert on Monday, April 17th at 8pm at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles (California), during the Reykjavík Festival, which runs from April 1st to June 4th.
Jóhann Jóhannsson will be accompanied by the American Contemporary Music Ensemble, to perform pieces from his latest album, Orphée (released in September 2016), where he returns to the curious dissonance between traditional instrumentation and electronics.
The evening will have the participation of Valgeir Sigurðsson, Nico Muhly, Sam Amidon, Daníel Bjarnason, James McVinnie, Jodie Landau, Nadia Sirota and Sæunn Thorsteinsdóttir.
